"I’ve spent a majority of my early career working with children and adolescents in various school settings from preschool to middle school. My experiences range from residential and specialized day schools as a counselor for learning disabled and emotionally troubled youth to in-home support services as an behavioral specialist for parents and their children, while also serving as an educational support specialist within various public schools in Virginia, advocating for families with children who were struggling both emotionally and behaviorally with adverse childhood experiences within the classroom.

As I progressed throughout my career, upon reflection, I realized trauma care was a vital part of shaping who I am as a professional and how I wanted to approach my future career. I have developed a skillset surrounding trauma, including how it’s stored in the body, how people process trauma, how it manifests, and how to help people process and move past it. I’ve found through my work with children and families that teaching skill sets, while establishing support systems early on, enables families and their children to have a greater chance of success while circumventing major pitfalls along the way. I integrate all of my knowledge, skills, training, and unique perception of the world to help my patients heal physically, psychologically, and even spiritually. Understanding the intersections of these aspects within ourselves, while tackling one area at a time, means that we make space for other areas to heal.

I specialize in integrative, holistic, and nonjudgemental, systemic therapy. I look at the bio-psycho-social-sexual-spiritual context that impacts functioning, health, and overall well being. I use Bowen, Internal Family Systems, Solution-focused, Narrative and Person-centered therapies to empower those facing questions of identity, belonging, and purpose.

I am committed to supporting people from diverse backgrounds by affirming and guiding transformation and healing. I help support: Couples, First Time Parents, First Generation Migrants, LGBTQIA2S+, Multicultural/Multiracial Couples and Families. I work with those struggling with Grief & Trauma, Anxiety, Life Transitions, and Adjustment Disorders. For those that have lost themselves in the chaos and struggle, we work together in finding our center and creating new possibilities.

Therapy is not a one size fits all process. Together we’ll identify and reinforce inner strengths in navigating your story and healing. We’ll explore your surrounding systems, past patterns, and themes in relationships, to gain perspective and affirm your experiences, while exploring what your goals are and what works best in supporting your healing journey."
