LIANE WHANG, LMFTA (she/her)

ASSOCIATE CLINICIAN

"I strive to create relationships built on trust, safety, and hope, where clients feel empowered to share the tender parts of themselves with the assurance that they will be met with non-judgment and compassion. I bring a presence that is nurturing, empathic, and intuitive. I seek to center your story, highlight your strengths and honor your resilience that brought you forward to this moment. My hope is to come alongside you as you sit with uncomfortable and painful emotions. I believe that our emotions serve as important guides that lead us to greater understanding and acceptance, widening our capacity to effectively respond to the demands of everyday life.

Therapy is a second career of mine.  I earned my B.A. at the University of Washington and worked for a number of years in Human Resources in various corporate settings before I left to be a full-time stay at home parent.  Four years later, I returned to school at Seattle Pacific University to obtain a graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MG 61202959).  As being both a client myself and a clinician, I have experienced the restorative and liberating work of therapy and its holistic impact on not just the individual, but on their families and  communities as well.

I enjoy working with individuals regarding issues of cultural identity and identity formation, intergenerational trauma, perinatal mental health, and navigating pivotal life transitions.  And I look forward to discussing options and the possibility to begin a new therapeutic journey together."
