LAURA BENTON, MS, LMFT (she/her)

Laura is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in practice for over 19 years. She has served as a therapist and clinical supervisor in community mental health settings, counseled academics and seminarians in their professional programs, served pastors and leadership teams in church settings, and has a private practice. She was a Clinical Fellow and Therapist at the Multicultural Family Institute in New Jersey and assisted in the editing of two seminal MFT resources: Genograms (McGoldrick, et al., 2008) and Revisioning Family Therapy (MCGoldrick & Hardy, 2008).

With training in Attachment, Emotion Focused Therapy, Family of Origin, EMDR (trauma), Hakomi (mindfulness), and Premarital Counseling, Laura’s clinical interests include couples, individuals, families, teams and ministry leaders. Laura's passionate about racial-relatedness; integrating and honoring faith, ethnicity, race, and culture in clinical systems; and healing relational divides.

Laura's a Cali native, but loves Seattle. She enjoys reading, running, spending time with her husband, kids, and neighborhood friends and can't help what happens when she hears 90s jams.
